I'm leaving in july the 23. I signed up as a Sp in the Airforce i can't wait but i have a very important question....i have 25/25 vision when going into Bootcamp will i have to wear those stupid glasses??? i don't wear glasses at all but i'm scared that since i don't have 20/20 i will have to wear them

I'm set to leave February 18, 2003 and I would like to know from a womans point of view or just anyone who has been through basic training already, how it was for them. I just want to know a little about what I'll be going through. Is anyone set to leave on the the 18th of Feb?

I am 20 years old. I've smoked since I was 13. I have bad credit. And I'm way out of shape. If I quit smoking and start running do you think I could meet the requirements for the air force. Or is it a lost cause for me to even try?

I am in the Air Force and I'm a jet mechanic. If any of you are thinking about joining the service, I'd say the Air Force is the best route. But be advised. Know what job you want. There are 1,000's of jobs to pick from. When you go to MEPS, don't believe them when they show you a list of 50 jobs and they tell you that "this is all we have". This is so bogus. What the list of 50 jobs is, it's a list of jobs nobody wants and most of them suck.

My boyfriend is in bootcamp and he recently told me that he might have to stay in basic for an additional month. What is This medical hold thing?

I was owndering because I am now confused. When you sign up for the airforce and you sign up for 4 years or six years, Does that mean you only have to be apart of the airforce for four or six years and have the choice to sign up again after those years are up to the twenty years to retirement ? Meaning I sign up for four years, serve my four years, then I can leave and do whatever.

do i have to sign up for the military at meps or can i wait and sign up a different day, what all do i have to sign up for. The most. thanks

I am seriously considering joining either the Air Force or the Navy and was wondering if I could bring a guitar (or other musical equipment for that matter). Music is a big part of my life, I was just wondering if I could continue to play during my free time.
